Vineyard in the Valley Café

Our café offers an extensive menu with daily specials, using fresh produce grown by ourselves or sourced locally.

Working in a fully-functioning catering environment, both in the kitchen and front-of-house, provides students with the experience of dealing with the expectations and pressures found in any food retail outlet.

Every penny spent in the café, whether it’s on food from our menu, our own label wines, jams, pickles and craft items created or made by our students, is reinvested for their ongoing development in the sessions we offer.

To make a booking, call us on (01227) 831266.

Open 7 days a week  9.00am – 5.00pm (last orders 4pm);

Our wines are available to purchase in our Cafe and on our wines website https://www.elhamvalleyvineyard.com where special offers are available.

Vineyard Garden Centre

On weekdays, our students work in the garden centre alongside an instructor, potting, pricing, labelling plants, watering, checking stock, serving customers, handling money and tidying up.

To find out more about the garden centre, including volunteering opportunities and the latest offers on plants and compost, visit the Vineyard Garden Centre website.

Every penny spent in the Garden Centre, whether it’s on plants, compost, bedding, plant labels, garden implements, or craft items created by our students, goes towards the work we do.

Open Monday to Saturday 9.00am – 5.00pm; Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Kent Log Sales

Kent Log Sales is a unique service run by our students and managed by Fifth Trust staff, supplying high quality seasoned and unseasoned logs across East Kent.

We can deliver bulk bagged logs direct to customers across the Canterbury, Whitstable, Dover and Folkestone areas and stack them where required. We can also advise customers on the type of logs best suited to their purpose.

All profits made from the sale of logs go towards the work we do.

Art and Design

Many of the pieces produced by students are offered for sale in our café or at local craft fairs and farmers’ markets. All profits are used to purchase materials and fund new projects and, knowing this, students enjoy a purpose to their work.
