We are extremely fortunate to have the support of many individuals, businesses and organisations in our local community, for which we are enormously grateful.
From volunteering your time or spreading the word about us to giving your custom to our garden centre or café, you are directly benefiting the quality of services we offer to students. The opportunity for students to interact with local people – when we are not all living under pandemic restrictions – is an essential part of our approach, from stacking logs and maintaining gardens to serving customers in the café.
It’s not a one-way relationship. We are committed to giving back to our community through our social enterprises and are constantly looking to broaden our role.
How lucky we are to have the support of our local neighbour Pam Ferris. The acclaimed film and TV actress launched our £2m skills centre appeal in September 2016 and has been an active ambassador for the project, including performing a special fundraising evening at King’s School Malthouse Theatre in Canterbury in December 2019.
