Volunteers needed for Team5T!
Do you have a few hours to spare to help out at our skills centres in the beautiful Elham Valley? Are you looking for interesting and rewarding volunteer days for your employees?
Volunteers play an essential role in our day care service and we are hugely grateful to all those who give up their time to help us. So if you are enthusiastic and energetic and support our mission to encourage and challenge our students with learning disabilities to do and be the best that they can, please come and have a look around.
As an individual volunteer you can make a big difference, perhaps by sharing your particular skills in an activity session, or accompanying us on outings which might not be able to go ahead without additional helpers.
We also host small and large groups of corporate volunteers, who tackle jobs in the vineyard and social enterprises and help keep our skills centres looking their best.

Individual volunteers
We welcome people of all ages from all walks of life with an interest in the activities we offer, from horticulture and woodwork to cooking and music.
Some of our volunteers have used The Fifth Trust to gain experience before starting a career in adult nursing, social work, teaching or care. But you do not need to have any specific experience or skills to get involved. We organise your DBS check, which is all you need to start.
“I get a lot out of volunteering here. It’s so rewarding seeing students accomplish something new – their faces light up.”
Pottery volunteer Terry
Corporate volunteers
We are very fortunate to partner with a number of local businesses who offer employees the opportunity to spend the day working with us as part of their benefits package.
If you would like to discuss volunteer day opportunities for small or large groups, please get in touch.
