Knocked it out the park

23 October 2023

The Fifth Trust won big at Ashford Lions Club's annual ‘It’s a Knockout’ event.

The popular event took place yesterday (22 October) in Tenterden and gives people with learning disabilities the opportunity to get together and have some fun whilst getting active. The day is packed full of competitions, games, and races, with each activity being scored throughout the day.

The Fifth Trust entered two teams, the Valley Vipers and Valley Vikings, both of which were given awards on the day.

The Valley Vikings won overall, scoring the highest total of points from all participating teams. The Valley Vipers were awarded a trophy for Best Shield for their creative design work.

The Fifth Trust sports instructor Jack Williams said: “We had lots of fun at It’s a Knockout this year. It was great to see all our students work so well together, and of course, it was a joy to see them receive awards for their hard work.

“Thanks to Ashford Lions Club and all the fantastic people who organise this amazing event. We are looking forward to the next one!”
