5Tfundraiser: Week 3 summary

29 July 2024

And that’s a wrap! On Friday, we celebrated the finale of our July fundraiser with the return of our Team5T Triathlon. It was a fantastic day filled with excitement as we all came together to raise vital funds for our music room rebuild.

Our CEO Nikki Marley kicked things off with an incredible 2,000-metre indoor swim. Next up, our care & operations manager Mike Theoff took the baton and embarked on a 50km cycle. His route took him from Bridge to Hythe, to Newchurch, and then to Canterbury – impressive! Students met Mike near Chartham and cycled back with him to Toddler's Cove.

Our chair Suzanne O’Brien then took the baton to the finish line with a 5km run, ending the day on a high note.

A special mention goes to Alison Turner, Peter Stratton, and Kallum McGuire Lewis, who joined Nikki, Mike, and Suzanne respectively for each section of the triathlon.

The Fifth Trust photography students joined us on the day to capture some memorable moments which you can view below.

In total, our staff, students, and trustees travelled 530km throughout July - more than two times the distance of the Pilgrims Way, our original target.

Nikki said: "Your support means the world to us and takes us closer to offering our students a state-of-the-art music room. Every donation makes a significant difference, so please consider donating to our music room rebuild page today!

"Our month of fundraising would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our team and the generosity of our supporters. Thank you all for supporting The Fifth Trust and cheering us on throughout July.”

We have currently raised over £3,400 towards our rebuild. Support our campaign today: www.justgiving.com/campaign/5Tfundraiser
