To raise additional revenue to fund the quality and breadth of services we seek to deliver, we have developed our own social enterprises.
The Vineyard Garden Centre and The Vineyard Café are both limited companies owned by the Trust, with any surplus generated by the two operations reinvested to support our work with students.
Importantly, both provide work opportunities for students, as well as selling what they make and grow.
Located in the tranquil Elham Valley, within easy reach of Canterbury and Folkestone, a visit to our garden centre and café make for a great trip out.
Our expert garden centre staff are on hand to help you choose from our well-stocked selection of bedding and fruit and vegetable plants in season, perennials, shrubs, trees and everything you need to keep your garden looking its best.
The Trust operates a garden maintenance service for commercial and private customers, the Wood Shack – offering bespoke wooden furniture made from sustainably-sourced trees – and log sales.
Vineyard Garden Centre opening hours:
Monday to Saturday 9am – 4pm
Sunday 10am – 4pm
The Vineyard Café serves delicious homemade food using locally sourced produce and our own homegrown vegetables and is open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea as well as takeaway. You can also browse for a gift from our students’ arts and crafts, and take home our own sparkling and still wine produced from the vineyard overlooked by the café.
View our sample breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea menus. We also have daily specials. To book a table, please call 01227 831266 or email [email protected].
Not local? You can buy our wine from our online shop (over 18 only).
