To raise additional revenue to fund the quality and breadth of services we seek to deliver, we have developed our own social enterprises.
Importantly, both provide work opportunities for students, as well as selling what they make and grow.
Located in the tranquil Elham Valley, within easy reach of Canterbury and Folkestone, a visit to our garden centre and café make for a great trip out.
Our expert garden centre staff are on hand to help you choose from our well-stocked selection of bedding and fruit and vegetable plants in season, perennials, shrubs, trees and everything you need to keep your garden looking its best.
The Trust operates a garden maintenance service for commercial and private customers, the Vineyard Wood Shack – a sustainability scheme offering bespoke wooden furniture made from trees felled by Canterbury City Council – and log sales.
Vineyard Garden Centre lockdown opening hours: Monday to Friday 11am – 3pm
The Vineyard Café serves delicious homemade food using locally sourced produce and our own homegrown vegetables and in normal times is open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. You can also stock up on local produce at our farm shop, browse for a gift from our students’ arts and crafts, and take home our own sparkling and still wine produced from the vineyard overlooked by the café.
For the second national lockdown which came into effect on 6 January 2021, we have decided to close the café at least until the end of January. For wine orders, please email [email protected] or order online.
