A propa' workshop!

The Fifth Trust garden centre students were treated to an exclusive propagation demonstration by local cacti grower, Ziggy.

Ziggy demonstrated how to propagate using a donated struggling 'Opuntia macrorhiza' cactus. Students then had a go at propagating, using seeds they had found in a prickly pear fruit.

"I had a great time learning from Ziggy," said The Fifth Trust student Leah. 

Ziggy’s Cactus is a local grower based down the road in Womenswold, who kindly donated a range of wonderful, weird, and wacky plants to our Vineyard Garden Centre. He also invited students to his cacti nursery last year.
